Accounting Intern

Pet City Group, the leader in the pet care retail market in Greece with 100+ stores, 4 online shops, over 3,5 million customers, over 17 thousand unique products and over 800 employees, is currently looking for an Accounting Intern to join the team and report to the Senior Accountant. You will be responsible for performing daily accounting tasks and entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling ledgers.

Kindly note that this internship opportunity is exclusively available to students participating through the following programs:

1) ΕΣΠΑ Program (University Students)

2) IEK Internship (IEK Students)

3) Deree Corporate Partner Internship (Deree Students)

 Key Responsibilities:

• Post trade supplier invoices correctly in the ERP in compliance with Local and International Accounting Standards.

• Reconcile General ledger accounts and make corrections.

• Reconciliation of customer-supplier balances.

• Process payments and financial documents such as invoices, statements, and vouchers accurately and within expected time periods.

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and Cash Flow projections.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.
  

Requirements:

• Studies in Finance, Accounting, or relevant degree.

• Familiarity with basic accounting principles

• Advance in MS Office especially Excel, and ERP software

• English knowledge (Written and oral)

• Agile, flexible, accountable, and real team player
